I see my art as a way to connect with the world as it is, a way to hold on to the details that make me feel good. I seek out images that move me. It may be a simple shape but I think of how I can give it depth, design, perhaps in a way that makes a statement. I paint to connect with others or just to say here I am and this is how I feel.

The time I spend with each piece varies, but I never stop until my spirit tells me it’s complete. As an artist, letting go can be difficult, but I find comfort in knowing there’s always the next creation and the chance to revisit and refine my craft later.
